Hey there! I'm Elise, the girl behind Coffee & Pine.

I've been a crafty creator since way back when and this led me to pursue an education in interior design. After working for a Benjamin Moore location/interior design firm for 4+ years I learned the foundations of the decor industry, but more importantly it made me a colour fanatic. I then made the terrifying leap to leave a job I loved to enter the full-time blogging world, and I'm blown away by where this little blog has taken me since I started it in 2014.

My specialty and what I love to do most is create full home colour schemes, and share my experiences with paint colours that I've used in my own home and in clients homes.

This is my husband Tom.
In October 2015, we bought our first home which you can read about here. It's a 1951 bungaloft that was still owned by the original owner and hadn't been updated in years. Lucky for us, with him being a carpenter and me being a decorator, we're able to take it on room by room and make it into exactly what we want it to be.

Shortly after buying our home, Tom proposed to me in April 2016! We got married on June 3, 2017 and are on cloud nine about beginning our lives together and seeing where this world will take us. We then expanded our family right away and got ourselves a little Portuguese Water Dog named Nora (AKA the Monster).
We would love for you to follow along on this journey of ours!

Along with our large scale renovation projects, on this blog you'll also see small DIYs that I'm doing to try to make our home just that: home. I'm constantly on the lookout for the latest trends in home decor and interior design, and I love sharing with my readers some tips and tricks that I've learned from working in the field.

    1. Thank you so much Deborah, that means a lot to hear!! :)

  2. I love your work!!! Your home decor is exactly my style. Farmhouse style with elegance and warmth!
I have a question that I could post on the blog you wrote for “Cozy Winter Decor”. I am doing a similar look in my basement (with a light blue sofa and tan sofa) but having so much trouble choosing a paint colour for the walls, any suggestions???
