Kitchen Islands

01/04/2016

Hey guys!

Although we're far away from renovating our own kitchen, I'm already deep into the plans of what I envision for it. For an older, smaller home we have a really decent sized kitchen with plenty of cabinet space and even room for a good sized island! What I love about the following islands is how unique they are. Your island doesn't need to match the rest of your cabinetry, and I definitely recommend doing a different colour or texture on it as well for added charm! Here are some of my inspirations:

Robin's-Egg Blue A large furniture-style island cloaked in soft robin's-egg blue welcomes family and guests into an impressively detailed kitchen. Crisp white cabinets, a zinc range hood, and gleaming chrome pendant lights pop against the blue island, providing a light and bright atmosphere. Picking up the color of an accent island in accessories adds polish and completes the look.:
