Fall Decorating

If you're not in the fall mood yet - you're about to be.

It's September AKA the most bittersweet month. Summer is wrapping up (bitter) but autumn is on its way in (sweet). If you live somewhere that doesn't experience the full effect of every season then my heart goes out to you. Here in Toronto we must have the most beautiful fall that comes & goes all too quickly but is easily my favourite 3 weeks of the year.

I've collected some wonderful fall decor ideas that you can do around your home. I'm not going to lie: I'm not into ghosts/goblins, pumpkins with goofy faces, and orange&red leaf displays. Instead, these things are more subtle DIYs that will cozy up your home just the right amount without an overload of my least favourite colour - orange (blegh).

Forget cheesy pumpkin faces - this flowerpot is perfectly tasteful for your front porch.

An autumn basket is a great addition to a sofa table or for a centrepiece.

Cozy knit pillows and soft linens are the simplest way to switch out some of your decor this fall

This porch shows the perfect way to add some non-traditional fall colours into your space.

This DIY neutral wreath is made out of a drop cloth. Amazing.

Grab some little fake pumpkins at the dollar store and paint them white!

My favourite DIY of all, this pinecorn garland.
